The Cat Cams range for the F4R engine are machined from hollow billet steel blanks to ensure strength and durability.
The data shown below gives information on whether the camshafts can be used with or without the VVT, with standard or uprated valve springs and also whether it requires to be run on a solid lifter conversion - please see our solid lifters here. When choosing a suitable camshaft bigger isn't always better and this is expecially true for the F4R engines as they have a very long stroke and can't be revved very hard due to the roller bearing cam followers.
We keep a small range of these cams in stock but if we don't have stock we will contact you and lead time is normally 4-5 weeks for delivery.
5502420: This is the Renault Sport Group N profile and they are machined to the maximum limits allowed.
5502428: Good fast road cam, requires ECU re-map
5502421: Good fast road /track day cam, needs aftermarket ECU to run well.
5502422: Good ultimate road/track day cam, needs aftermarket ECU to run well.
5503431-4: Suitable for competition engines with vernier pulleys and aftermarket ECU
5503505-6: Suitable for high level competition engines, need to be able to rev much higher that standard so need very good quality and lightweight rods and pistons and also new rockers and solid tappet conversion - we can supply and fit a solid lifter conversion and grind the tappets to the required valve clearance, please see here.
