A complete TL4 straight cut, dog engagement gearbox including input and output shafts, crownwheel with choice of final drives.

 

The advantage of these kits over using standard synchromesh gearboxes is:

  • the speed of shifting with flatshifts being available,
  • the strength and reliability of the gear kits for high power engines
  • the lack of any synchromesh to break,
  • the far closer ratios,
  • choice of final drives,
  • reduction in power losses through the gearbox.

 

Gear ratios:

  • 1st: 2.90
  • 2nd: 2.077
  • 3rd: 1.667
  • 4th: 1.412
  • 5th: 1.211 or 1.158
  • 6th: 1.043 or 1.00
  • Final drive: 4.30,  3.80 or 3.20 

 

For turbo applications you are better staying in each gear for longer and using the engines' torque to the full so the 1.211 5th, 1.043 6th and the 3.2 final drive are the best options.
